Background and Client Requests

As a leading manufacturer of sputter equipment, the client has achieved the No. 1 market share in domestic and overseas markets through localization of small and medium-sized OLED sputter equipment with high overseas dependence. However, due to the recent internal and external changes in the display panel business landscape, it has become inevitable to develop next-generation sputter equipment localization technology. Thus, the client has requested for a strategic plan to apply for the national R&D project supported by the government ministries.

Key To Way’s Approach

Key To Way performed four major activities in order to address the client’s request:

• Conduct in-depth-interviews to gather information and insights from related departments to set directions and identify the current status of the company

• Conduct an internal/external analysis and build a long-term management strategy

• Achieve a vision, established annual implementation plans and a technology innovation roadmap

• Develop a strategic plan that includes financial, commercial and global market expansion strategies

• Based on the advisory results from Key To Way, the client successfully applied for the national R&D project grants and was selected as the top scorer in the Display category.
