Young-Kyung Ko
Dr. Ko stands as a seasoned ASEAN business expert, dedicating the past 15 years to numerous research projects, policy research, market analysis, and strategic consulting for government and private organizations as well as for large domestic and international companies.
Graduating with a bachelor's degree in sociology and regional studies from Yonsei University, Dr.Ko furthered her academic journey with a doctorate in finance from Korea University Graduate School of Business. Her intellectual contributions are evident in published articles gracing both domestic and international journals, including the esteemed Journal of Banking and Finance. Notably, she is also the author of influential works such as "7UPs in Asia," "ASEAN Super App Wars," " Future Growth Market ASEAN" and translated "Europe 2020 Strategy Report"
Currently holding the position of research professor at the ASEAN Center, Korea University, Dr. Ko simultaneously serves as an adjunct professor at Sunway University Business School. Her impact extends beyond academia as she assumes the roles of supervisor at KB Asset Management's ‘Balhae Infrastructure Fund’ and venture partner at The Invention Lab.
Dr. Ko's influence in the media landscape is noteworthy, as she contributes to JoongAng Daily's 'Market Now' and takes on hosting duties for 'Southeast Asia Go' and 'Corporate History' on <3ProTV>.
